This recognition celebrates the vision behind our landscape design at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok—conceived as a serene urban retreat where landscape serves as the primary architectural medium, seamlessly integrated with its setting beside Lumphini Park. Rather than treating the park as a backdrop, the design extends its presence through sculpted landforms that shape a fluid spatial experience, creating a calm transition from the city into nature.
Beginning with a protective “Mound” at street level that filters the intensity of the urban environment, the journey ascends into a “Mountain” sanctuary of tiered, immersive greenery. Here, leisure spaces are carved into the landscape to form intimate, shaded retreats that enhance privacy, natural cooling, and curated views. Together, this transition from ground to sky redefines high-rise hospitality as a multi-dimensional experience—blending architecture, nature, and sensory design into a timeless expression of urban tranquility.
