Tactical Urbanism & Reclaiming Dead Spaces
Mr. Phat Chapanon (Junior Associate Director & Design Director) was invited as a guest speaker for an online seminar hosted by the School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. The session brought together students and participants interested in urban design and contemporary spatial practices.
The lecture, “Tactical Urbanism & Reclaiming Dead Spaces,” explored strategies for revitalizing underutilized urban areas, with a focus on Bangkok. Drawing from built work and research, the talk highlighted how small-scale, adaptive interventions can activate inactive spaces and improve urban livability.
The session concluded with an open discussion, encouraging participants to reflect on how tactical approaches can be applied in different contexts, and reinforcing the role of designers in shaping more responsive and inclusive cities.
