Joined the Cityscape Global event in Riyadh
Mr. Yossapon Boonsom, Founding Director of Shma, together with Mr. Charnchai Chitpatanapaibul, Associate Director, and Mr. Napon Jaturapuchapornpong, Business Development, joined the Cityscape Global event in Riyadh from 17–20 November 2025.
Mr. Namchai shared his perspective on the complex challenges faced by landscape practitioners operating within diverse geographical contexts under the broader subtheme: ‘Need for Relooking at the Development Paradigm; Diverse Ecosystems, Contexts, and Tensions.’ His lecture emphasized the importance of designing landscapes that are not only visually inspiring but also socially inclusive and environmentally resilient, reflecting Shma’s commitment to sustainable urban and natural environments.
As one of the world’s leading platforms for real estate and urban development, Cityscape Global plays a key role in showcasing the region’s ambitious projects and future city visions. The event provided Shma with an important opportunity to understand the evolving Middle Eastern market, exchange insights on sustainable urban design, and meet potential clients and partners for future collaborations.
This year’s edition highlighted the rapid transformation of the Gulf region, emphasizing innovation-driven development, resilient public spaces, and integrated green infrastructure. Shma’s participation reflects our commitment to contributing landscape-led strategies that support healthier, more livable, and future-ready cities.
Through dialogues with developers, city agencies, and design leaders, the team gained valuable perspectives that will inform Shma’s ongoing work and future expansion into the Middle East, strengthening our mission to shape better environments for people and the planet.
