Hop Park, Green Pop-up Hop into the Greeniverse has received the second award for Pop-ups and Temporary (Built)
We are pleased to announce that our project ‘Hop Park, Green Pop-up Hop into the Greeniverse’ has received the Second Award for Pop-ups and Temporary (Built) in The Rethinking The Future Awards 2025 (RTF Awards), among 1200 registrations and more than 40 countries. This award is a meaningful encouragement for us to keep exploring new ways to bring nature back into the urban fabric.
Hop Park is a small green space with a big idea: to create instant, low-maintenance greenery that can “hop” into underutilized urban areas and breathe new life into them. In collaboration with Garnier and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Hop Park was brought to life on the busy Pathumwan Skywalk, transforming 550 square meters into what is now lovingly known as the “Lotus Leaves Square.”
The space invites people to pause, breathe, and reconnect with nature—even if just for a moment—right in the heart of the city. Divided into five themed zones—from air-purifying plants to edible gardens and biodiversity habitats—the park is home to over 20,000 plants.
A successful landscape design often enhances biodiversity, mitigates urban heat, and improves stormwater management. Landscape architects also play a key role in urban resilience, designing spaces that adapt to climate change and prioritize human well-being.
