Nestled along the Chao Phraya River in Pak Kred, Nonthaburi, Kalanan Riverside Resort stands as a testament to the beauty of Thai-colonial architecture, capturing the essence of Bangkok’s historic old town. With every detail, the resort offers guests a journey through time—where design, history, and nature come together to create an experience that is both enriching and memorable.
In the renovation process, Shma’s approach was driven by the principle of storytelling through design, preserving the unique character of the site while introducing contemporary elements. The project masterfully weaves the old with the new, creating a timeless path for guests to explore the rich cultural heritage of Rattanakosin’s old town.
Our landscape design goes beyond aesthetics, seeking to foster a deep connection between nature and people. We’ve carefully curated an ecosystem where plants, animals, and humans coexist in harmony, where the use of sustainable planting helps preserve the resort’s environment and enhances the experience for all who visit. Each space has been designed not only to provide beauty but to encourage environmental stewardship, promoting a peaceful coexistence with nature.
