[NEWS] Post Pandemic Public Space Planning

After the epidemic, what would be the next step in designing the city and public spaces?
.
When the epidemic erupted in Thailand last year, Bangkok based Landscape Design Company ‘Shma Company Limited’ held an Internal Workshop which gathered landscape designers, architects, horticultural technicians, construction management, technicians, and researchers to discuss ′′Guidelines for Urban Planning in the Post Pandemic′′. The content covers design principles, sidewalks, parks, recreational places, campus, etc.
.
Notably, the ′′Principles of Public Spaces Design′′ Shma suggests that the future will be moving towards modular objects and multi-functional design, spatial shunt, and AR and traffic data management and applications and discusses the importance of outdoor spaces also appreciates the view of the Landscape Architecture Gardens.

Shma Company Limited
In 2007, Yossapon Boonsom, Namchai Saensupha, and Prapan Napawongdee, co-founded the Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning Design Company which ranges from residential, commercial, resorts to small-scaled regional planning basing sites throughout Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and India. Shma’s designs have been shortlisted for World Architecture Festival on multiple occasions.
.
We really love that Shma doesn’t only focus on landscape designs, the team often releases #design research resources, whilst also proposes avant-garde concept design during the design week, which arouses different imaginations of viewers and the government about “landscape” and “urban environment”.

Taiwan and Thailand design needs stage communication
“Although my mother said it is too dangerous.” We, as part of the media, are dedicated to the exchange and promotion of bilateral designs in Taiwan and Thailand, hoping to arouse the design circle and the general public’s awareness of design, even with cross-field backgrounds.
