Shortlisted at WAF2014 - World Architecture Festival Award

Shma got recognize by another global record, ‘World Architectural Festival 2014’. We are very much honor for a residential project ‘Morph 38’ to have been shortlisted amidst hundreds of international competitor in Landscape Category. At WAF, we were shortlisted for 3 year in a roll and, this year, we are going to compete with other winners in the world stage on this upcoming October 3, 2014 at World Architecture Festival, Marina Bay, Singapore.

Winning A Prestigious Asia Pacific Property Award

          Bangkok, April, 2014– Shma has been informed that it is amongst the winning companies of the prestigious International Property Awards in the 2014 Asia Pacific regional competition. Shma competed against a number of architects in the region to receive this recognition. Successful entrants have been invited to attend a high-profile gala and presentation dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on May 9th where the official announcements will be made and the winning companies will learn which honours they have secured.

Later this year, the highest scoring winners from the Asia Pacific Property Awards as for us is Central Chiang Rai for the Best Commercial Landscape, will compete against other winning companies from Europe, Africa, Canada, the USA, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Arabia to find the ultimate World’s Best in each category. The Asia Pacific region has an enviable record of achievement at international level, having scooped an unbeaten total of 18 World’s Best Awards in 2013.

The judging panel consists of approximately 70 professionals including Lord Caithness, Lord Best, Lord Courtown, Fiona Nixon, chairman of the Australian Institute of Architects; Patrick Grove, co-founder of IPGA Ltd; and Peter Bolton King, residential professional group director at RICS.

Smart Makkasan Exhibition

The results of " Smart Makkasan " the intense workshop in finding new possibilities in developing the last abandon land in the city center of BKK is now ready for public viewing and debating. The exhibition held at ASA Center, 5th floor, Siam Discovery Center, Bangkok, 11am-6 pm from Sat 31Aug-Sun 1 Sept 2013.

We would like to invite you all to participate in reflecting your thought, sharing your visions in determining future of Makkasan Area.


Finding the future of Makkasan Area

Shma by Yossapon Boonsom joined the open discussion panel in finding the future of Makkasan Area ;the last abandon land at BKK city center. The panel held on Sat 31 Aug 2013 at ASA Center , Siam Discovery Center ,1-3 pm .This event is organised as part of TALA ( Thailand Association of Landscape Architects ) annual meeting.


" Wednesday Talk " at CDC ( Crystal Design Center )

Shma by Yossapon Boonsom is presenting a vision on commercial (landscape) space as part of " Wednesday Talk " at CDC ( Crystal Design Center ) on 21 Aug 2013 from 4:00-5:30 pm.

The topic called " Shop and the City "will focus on the changing consumer behavior which going to change the way we perceive and use commercial space and its impact of shopping that go beyond fulling people aspiration /needs. It can transform the whole city environment for the better ,if we want to.


Creativity Unfold 2013 : Smart Makkasan

The workshop ends with many interesting ideas and topics for further developed and debated. It stimulates all the urban dweller to rethink of how shall we live in the future. What are our aspiration / value ? What are the challenges ? What tools do we need to invent ? Who shall be our stakeholder to realize these visions..... The workshop ends but our quest for a better living shall continue and even more relevant than any other time in our modern history.

Forgetting Concept Focusing Reality Discovering Uniqueness

A Special Lecture by Yossapon Boonsom ,focused on how to discover a uniqueness quality in each project. Imagination alone is not helping after all. The lecture held on Thursday 29/08/13 at Faculty of Architecture, Kasetsart University,Bangkok, from 10:00-12:00 pm.


Smart City: The Next Generation, Focus South-East Asia : Aedes Network Campus Berlin

A project initiated by Aedes East - International Forum for Contemporary Architecture NPO in collaboration with the Goethe Institutes in Southeast Asia

Shma ' s works ( blocs 77 , Morph 38 , vertical gallery and CU Centennial Park ) have been selected to be exhibited at Aedes gallery in Berlin under the exhibition theme "Smart City : Focus on South East Asia " from 18 May - 4 July 2013
